~Basics~
Q. What do I start out with when I join?
A. Upon joining you'll receive $1000, 5 Pokéballs,
an Aqua Bike DX, a TADS, a Backpack, either Poochyena, Carvanha, Zubat, Corphish, Squirtle, Totodile or Mudkip as your starter
and one free random Pokémon that the person signing you up will decide.
Q. How do I RP?
A. You RP simply by putting actions in your posts.
Q. Should I RP in 1st or 3rd person? Or should I use asterisks?
A. That's entirely up
to you. Whichever you prefer or is easiest for you is the type you should use.
Q. How do I rank up?
A. You can rank up by doing missions and RPs. Using good grammer
in your missions and battles in RPs, being nice and helpful, not flaming or spamming, not bragging and by being active will
get you ranked up faster.
~Missions~
Q. How do I do the mission?
A. I suggest you type your mission in a word document in case
your post shouldn't go through. Well, missions are stories where you and Pokémon go out to accomplish whatever the mission's
goal is. When doing a mission you should be as descriptive as possible. Remember! The missions are not all about the battles!
We would like to see some story to your missions. Once you've finished typing up your mission, post it in HQ. Remember to
post the mission brief along with your mission! If no one is around to grade it, then PM someone who can with the page number
and they'll grade it as soon as they can.
Q. Why do we do missions?
A. We do missions to obtain new Pokémon and to get money. Missions
are the fastest way to rank up as well.
Q. When do I get my rewards from my mission?
A. After your mission has passed.
Q. My mission didnt pass.. Can I redo/edit it then submit it again?
A. Yepperz!
Q. How do battles work with in the mission?
A. Well, battles can be the hardest part
of a mission. You have to be careful not to bore the reader with a bunch of numbers and not to repeatedly use the same words
over and over. Tho, make sure the battles are like they are in the games. No TV show battling. Be sure to avoid OHKOs and
God-Modding, too. You should make your battles long, at least 4 turns long.
Q. I've done a lot of missions! How come I haven't ranked up yet??
A. You're missions
probably weren't very good or deserving of a rank up. We want "quality" not "quantity". You could do two very good missions
and get ranked up. Or you could do 10 bad missioins and still not have ranked up.
~RPs~
Q. What is an RP?
A. An RP is kind of like a live mission. There's a story to it and rewards
are given out at the end.
Q. How are the rewards given out?
A. At the end of an RP, you usually have to fill out
a form. The more you do during an RP, the more rewards you'll get.
Q. Can I rank up from doing RPs?
A. If you do a good job during one, of course! If you
rank up, you'll be informed at the end of the RP when the rewards are given out.
Q. Are battles in RPs done the same way as those in missions?
A. Yep! Tho, all the battles
dont have to be done in one post.
Q. Do the battles in RPs count towards evo?
A. Usually. The person running the RP will
say if the battle counts toward anything.
Q. Are there any restrictions to what Pokemon I can catch during an RP?
A. Yep. First of all, follow the Pokemon obtainable by rank rule. If it's not allowed at your rank,
then ya can't catch it. You've also gotta follow the TRP catching rules unless otherwise stated during the
RP. So even if your rank allows you to own 2nd Stage Pokes, ya still can't catch them during an RP.
~Battles~
Q. How do I do battles with other members?
A. First, you must find an oppenent and a ref.
The ref will post all the rules of the battle along with a list of things that must be PMed to him/her. Once all of the info
has been PMed to the ref, the ref will post the start of the battle which will include the attacking order of the Pokémon
and their HP. Whoever attacks first will call their attack first; qouting the ref's post. Then, whoever attacks next will
call their attack qouting their oppenents post. Then the ref will post the results of that turn. When the battle is over,
be a good sport whether you win or lose.
Q. If I lose the battle, will it still count towards my Pokémon's evolution?
A. It sure
will!
Q. My oppenent/ref had to leave during the battle so I never got to finish it. Does it still
count for evo?
A. If the battle lasted for more then 4 turns, yes.
~Training RPs~
Q. What is a Training RP?
A. A Training RP is where you can go out with your Pokémon to
train them.
Q. Can I start a training RP?
A. Anyone may start one, but make sure you have a few people
to come along with you!
Q. What Pokémon can I catch during one?
A. It depends on what Tier you're in. Keep in
mind that these catching rules also apply to RPs unless otherwise stated during the RP.
Tier 5: Any Basic Stage Pokémon, no Mini-Legends.
Tier 4: Any Basic or 1st Stage Pokémon, no Mini-Legend
Basic or 1st Stages.
Tiers 3, 2, 1: Any Basic or 1st Stage Pokemon,
no Mini-Legend 1st Stages.
People from other Teams: Any Basic Stage Pokémon, no Mini-Legends.
Q. Can I rank up from doing a Training RP?
A. Erm.. no.
~Pokémon~
Q. When I look at the Support Site, it says that my Pokémon are being held by Dots/BL. Why?
A.
When the Pokémon Obtainable By Rank rule was made, you already owned those Pokémon which you were now not allowed to own.
So, BL was nice enough to hold onto those Pokémon for you until you rank up to a rank that allows them.
Q. I caught a *Pokémon* and BL won't let me keep it!!
A. That's probably because
you aren't allowed to own that Pokémon at your current rank.
Q. But why won't he hold it for me!?
A. He only holds Pokémon for those who owned the
Pokémon when the Pokémon Obtainable By Rank rule was made.
Q. Why can't I have a legendary?
A. You must be of proper rank to own one.
Q. What rank is that?
A. Executive and higher.
Q. So.. How do I get Munchlax?
A. Do a super-duper job on your missions or RPs and BL
or Sonic may give you one as a special reward. If you're nice and helpful all the time that could get ya one too.
Q. Couldn't I just breed a Snorlax to get a Munchlax?
A. Nope. Only BL and Sonic can breed a Snorlax for a Munchlax egg. Anyone else
that breeds a Snorlax will result in a Snorlax egg. Until Munchlax becomes obtainable in the Pokemon games, this is how it'll
work.
Q. Are there any other ways to catch Pokémon besides missions and RPs?
A. If you win one
of the many contests you may obtain a new Pokémon, if you're a member of the Birthday Club you may receive a Pokémon as a
present and on holidays Pokémon are usually handed out as gifts. Or you could always ask a Hunter to hunt a Pokémon for you.
Q. How do I evolve my Pokémon?
A. From a Basic Stage to a First Stage, your Pokémon must
have 5 battles, 5 missions, and 5 days. From a First Stage to a Second Stage, your Pokémon must have a total of 10 battles,
10 missions, and 10 days. Although, if the evolved form of the Pokémon that you want to evolve is not allowed at your current
rank, than it cannot evolve. Remember that all trades must be approved by an Admin or higher.
Q. Do Pokémon that evolve using Stones need this too?
A. Nope.
Q. What about Pokémon that evolve by trading?
A. Again, nope.
Q. How do I evolve Pokémon that evolve by happiness?
A. Just follow the standard evolution
rules or use a Heart Stone on it.
Q. Alright, but how do I evolve Feebs?
A. It'll need 5 battles, 5 missions and 5 days
to evolve.
Q. Do battles in missions count as battles for evolution?
A. No, they count as missions
towards evolution.
Q. If I use a Pokémon in a mission, but don't actually battle with it, will it count towards
it's missions?
A. No.
Q. I caught a Shadow Pokemon. How do I purify it?
A. The Shadow Poke will need to have a total of 10 battles, 10 missions and at least 5 days.
Then, buy a Purify Water from the Shop located in the SF and use it on the Pokemon. This must be aprroved by an Exec or higher.
~Bio Pokemon~
Q. Can we use Bio Pokemon in missions, battles or RPs?
A. Nope.
Q. How many Bio Pokemon can one person own?
A. Up to three since they can only be used as pets.
Q. How do you know who gets what Bio Pokemon?
A. Whoever makes the Bio Pokemon gets it unless they wish to give it to someone else.
Q. Does the person we're giving the Bio Pokemon to have to be a member of the Bio Lab?
A. Nope. Just be sure to PM BL as to who you're giving it to so he doesn't put you down
as the owner.
Q. Can we trade Bio Pokemon with other people?
A. Nope.
Q. Some of the Bio Pokemon have evolved forms. How do you evolve them?
A. Just tell BL that you want to evolve it and she'll give you a Bio Stone to use on
it.
~Ranks and Their Powers~
Q. When can I grade missions?
A. Aqua Divers and higher can grade missions.
Q. When can I make missions?
A. Once you become an Officer or higher.
Q. I made a mission. Can I do it?
A. Nope. Ya can't do a mission you've made.
Q. Can I join the Lab?
A. If there are still spaces open for the Lab, then PM BL
with an invention. Dots will then PM you saying if you made the Lab or not.
Q. Can I join the Bio-Lab?
A. If spaces are still for the Bio Lab, then PM BL with
three Pokémon sprite mutations. BL'll then PM you saying if you're a Bio Lab member or not.
Q. Can I join the Smeargle Art Gallery?
A. Send a PM to Silver asking to join. Although,
you must have a Smeargle to join.
Q. How do I become a Certified Ref?
A. Go to the Ref Certification board on the Support
Forums and take the series of tests there and PM the answers to a Ref Instructor.
Q. I've been absent for a while. Why aren't I on the member list anymore?
A. Inactive
members will be fired if they're active on NSider and yet haven't posted in HQ for a week.
Q. What ranks can approve trades?
A. Execs and higher.
Q. Is the person "Hunter" on the SF actually a Hunter?
A. Nope. His screen name is only Hunter. He's not an actual Hunter for the Team.
~Trading~
Q. Can I trade with so-and-so from Team such-and-such?
A. So long as you have both BL's
and the Leader of the other Team's permission and the trade is approved.
Q. If I get a trade set up in the Trading Center and it's approved, can I just trade there?
A.
No, you must trade at HQ.
~Support Forums and the Support Site~
Q. I caught a new Pokémon, but the Support Site says I dont own it.
A. Did you PM BL
about it?
Q. No...
A. Well, that's why. You must PM BL after you obtain a new Pokémon with
the page number you obtained it on.
Q. I sent it to BL, but she told me he wouldn't update the Support Site!
A. Did you PM
her the page number you got the Pokémon on?
Q. But I forgot the page number...
A. That's why you should PM her the day you catch the
Pokémon.
Q. Why can't I post on the Support Forums?
A. Your account probably hasn't been validated yet by BL or Sonic. Once one of them
validate it you'll be able to post.
